About this coffee

This coffee is produced by young coffee growers from ASCISP Association, belonging to the NASA WESX community in Planadas terroir. Every of these farmers grow coffee in about 2 to 4 ha. This terroir is a protected land. They are caretakers of one of the largest natural reserves in Colombia. This land and their beliefs of taking care of 'Mother Earth', make them the best allies to produce one of the most delicious coffees with organic principles in the country. After the coffee is processed (fully washed in this case), dried and milled, it is taken to the Decaffeination Plant DESCAFECOL located in Manizales, Caldas, Colombia. The only decaf factory that uses Ethyl Acetate to extract the caffeine from the beans, a compound that comes from the sugar cane.
